Dear Future Boyfriend: Idle Time

The only bouquets I received in my entire life came from my sister. She went out and walked all the way from UST to Dangwa (in her dress, no less) in the middle of my grad ceremony just to surprise me. She gifted me on one of my worst birthdays without her knowing it was actually a bad day.

Although they're not something I would want to get, I've never really received one from a special someone.

Dear Future Boyfriend,

I just realized I don't like flowers. I'd rather spend a day with you inside Timezone while we play basketball and try to earn that big teddy bear hanging by their front desk. That would be fun, right? Or order pizza and play Xbox or Playstation. Or maybe you can just bake or cook for me. I'd love to receive something that my future boyfriend would work hard for. Healthy food in that case because your future girlfriend will be on her way to being fit when that time comes. Or lets just buy popcorn, put them in the microwave (and listen to the popping sound of the, well, yes, the corn), and watch endless movies after. I hope you like chick-flicks and romcoms because I am so fond of them.

But you know what, I don't think I won't mind receiving even just a single flower one time. You know, a first for everything?

Love,

Your Future Girlfriend

  1. one day, someone will spend a day with you at timezone, or maybe a lazy day at home, he'll know that you don't like flowers AND STILL buy flowers for you on those mundane days. because no matter how much you say you don't mind not receiving one or that you aren't fond of them, he would love all those smiles that would erupt from your face when you receive them. and it would always feel like the first time.
